Blog. We’ve got lots to talk about

This is how your donations help... for every tonne of clothing we collect, we donate a minimum of £105 to The Air Ambulance Service. And below is why they fly, each day this incredible charity is saving lives.

Our New Website Launch

Our New Website Launch

We’re excited to announce that our new website is live. The site includes navigation, with dropdown menus for both mobile and desktop versions. We’ve also improved the structure of our content, so you’ll get more from a quick read. There’s a whole host of smaller but impactful changes, all to make your experience of the new site that much better for you.

When we started the project we had big ideas, from company messaging to helping users get from one place to the next without skipping our most important content. Our solution was to split our site content into two places. We now have ‘Product’ and ‘Solutions’ - if you’d like to know more about what we do, then our product pages can help. In the ‘Solutions’ pages, we’ve collected resources for a set of more specific use cases. The blog and other resources are still available, and only a single click away.

We have also created a host of new graphics, published a gallery’s worth of images, and included a few applications that have made the site easier to use.

We hope you like the changes, and if you have any feedback, please let us know on Facebook or Twitter.

DB Textiles

DB Textiles

A family run business trading for over 40 years in Northamptonshire.

Our door to door collection service is unique to the industry as the first to offer a special collection service or collection by appointment, for missed bags for any reason. We are also one if not the only commercial partner to supply our charity shops with stock on a weekly basis.

Since our service started in 2007 we have paid over 2 million pounds through our door to door collections to The Air Ambulance Service.

We are very pro-active with the authorities to combat bogus or illegal collections and report all instances

Our aim is to stop used clothing being dumped in landfill which annually equates to, in 2015 350,000 tonnes from households went to landfill, 300,000 tonnes in 2016, a 14% down and a drop in the right direction.

Plastic Bag Usage

Plastic Bag Usage

We are committed to making smart decisions to protect the environment and manage our environmental impact responsibly. We have taken a number of steps to reduce our environmental impact and underscore our commitment to sustainability.

As with the issue with clothing going into landfill we are very conscious of the use of plastic bags and the effects on the planet, so we are soon going to reduce our delivery of plastic bags and the use of leaflets will be common place in many areas of our collections. The leaflet will mirror our bags so that our supporters are used to seeing our material as one.

Our aim is to support our charities through your generous donations and also be mindful of the impact and reduce bag usage.
